EARLY REGISTRATION DEADLINE:  August 30, 2013

The Texas Advanced Paralegal Seminar (TAPS) will be held in San Antonio, Texas on October 2 - 4, 2013.  The TAPS speaker list is available at www.txpd.org/taps and a pull out was included in the Summer 2013 issue of the Texas Paralegal Journal. All TAPS registration is required via online available on the Division’s website using a credit card, check, or money order (mo). If paying by check or money order, please note that a check/mo number is required before registration is accepted. In addition, if paying by check or money order, payment must be mailed and received within 10 days of registration (include a copy of the confirmation registration page with the check being submitted).

KEYNOTE SPEAKER:

The TAPS Friday Attendee Luncheon, Curtain Call, will feature Keynote Speaker Allan K. DuBois, Attorney-Mediator, presenting an EThics topic on Texas Lawyer's Assistance Program: Preventing Damaged Careers and Saving Lives.  Mr. DuBois’ service and commitment to the legal profession and community bring new meaning to the words “role model”.  For over ten years, Allan served as President of the Board of Directors of the San Antonio Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse (SACADA), whose mission is the prevention of alcohol, drug and tobacco abuse and a better life for our youth.  As a Director at the State Bar of Texas, Allan served on the Executive Committee and as Advisor to Military Law Section.  His past State Bar assignments include the Alternative Discipline Task Force; the Mental Health Task Force; and Chair and member of the Texas Lawyers Assistance Program committee.  All an is also an active member and past President of Texas Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers.  His commitment to this program and to attorneys throughout the State was recognized in 2004 when he was presented the “Ralph Mock Award” at the TLCL Annual Convention.  Allan is a past President of the San Antonio Bar Association (SABA) and a current Trustee for the Texas Bar Foundation.
