Her presentation will provide an overview of the 2013 Texas Supreme Court Order on the Rules for Dismissals and Expedited Actions which was created to promote the efficient and cost-effective resolution of civil cases with claims for damages not exceeding $100,000. However, the revised rule inadvertently affects all civil suits regardless of the amount of damages.
